Labor Day Picnic 2013
For the first time in many years, the Lucy Depp Bell rang to signal the gathering for the community picnic. Repaired as a donation by Wanner Metal Works, this original bell was used as an all-clear signal to runaway slaves on their journey north along the Scioto River. The Depp Station was the first stop on the underground railroad north of Columbus, Ohio.
